The Mission and 3 more TV Pilots Start Filming in Vancouver This Week

It’s another busy week for filming in Vancouver as The Mission and 3 more TV pilots start production alongside reshoots for Shane Black’s Predator reboot, Sacred Lies Season 1 and more.

The Mission (ABC TV Pilot)

Cast: Lynn Collins (Manhunt: Unibomber), Aasif Mandvi (Shut Eye), Kris D. Lofton (Ballers), Josh Randall (Ten Days in the Valley), Vanessa Vasquez (East Los High), Wood Harris (The Wire)

Just like that, pilot season is officially underway! This week, 4 of the 6 TV pilots that will be filming in Vancouver and area this season start production. The first of which being The Mission, hailing from ABC. Originally titled Safe Harbor, the series is centred around a woman named Oriana who ditched her legal career to pursue being a cop. The Los Angeles-set drama explores the complicated, stressful, yet sometimes humourous or rewarding lives of those on the force.

Filming started on Sunday in the 1000 Block of West Hastings Street in Vancouver with a scene that involved a police officer pulling over a vehicle and issuing a ticket via @antonvevo.

Lynn Collins, who plays Oriana, also shared a behind the scenes pic from the first day of filming in Vancouver:

The Mission will continue filming in Vancouver and area until April 2nd.

Also Starting This Week

The Predator (aka Ollie) – Additional Photography (Feature)
Cast: The movie stars Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski and more.

Shane Black’s reboot of the Predator franchise is back in the Vancouver area until March 29th to do some additional filming before it’s theatrical release on September 14th. Primary production took place early last year.

Not sure which of the cast will be in town during the additional filming run, but if you spot them around town, let us know!
